Billy Medof is an Operating Partner for ACP, where he sources, evaluates, and supports investments in the packaging sector. He has over two decades of experience leading organizations in the packaging, group purchasing, and airline industries.
Billy is an experienced packaging executive, having served as both President of Georgia-Pacific (“GP”) Corrugated and business leader for GP’s Sheet Feeders, which are subsidiaries of Koch Industries. At GP, his business supplied corrugated sheets to independent box makers across the country, and finished boxes to some of the most sophisticated, demanding industrial and consumer packaging consumers in the US. Billy’s team led the US corrugated market in developing and deploying wide-web digital printing. Passionate about the packaging industry, Billy also served five years on the executive committee of the Fibre-Box Association, including serving as Vice-Chair.
Most recently, Billy was CEO of Procure Analytics, a group purchasing organization (“GPO”) and Genstar portfolio company, helping its 1,000+ member companies achieve needle-moving savings across categories including MRO, packaging, and freight. Prior to joining GP, Billy led the M&A function at Delta Air Lines, contributing to Delta’s highly successful restructuring and emergence as America’s highest ranked airline.
Billy graduated from West Point with a degree in Engineering physics and received his MBA from Columbia University. Following West Point, Billy served as an Army artillery officer, leading self-propelled 155mm howitzers in the 3rd Infantry Division.
