Danyel O’Connor

Danyel O’Connor is a Senior Advisor to Altamont Capital Partners and brings more than 20 years of progressive CPG experience and an insightful, results-driven approach to her leadership roles across high-growth, consumer-driven ventures. She is currently Entrepreneur-in-Residence (CEO) at Umami, a venture incubated within Fieldbook Venture Studio in Bentonville, Arkansas. Umami creates the “Ah Ha!” moments for product developers bogged down by siloed information, high data costs, and slow execution – turning clarity into confidence and concepts into crave-worthy growth.

Danyel has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Cravings by Chrissy Teigen and as EVP Sales & Marketing at Good Foods Group, a family-owned company based in Wisconsin specializing in producing fresh, healthy, and natural food products, including guacamole, dips, salsas, and a variety of pre-packaged rotisserie chicken salads.

Danyel leverages her strong background in commercial strategy development and execution – marketing, customer success, innovation, R&D, commercialization, competitive assessment, consumer behavior, and sales – to build cohesive brands employing data-driven decision-making, fostering increased product awareness and expansion. Danyel is a mentor to emerging talent – a leader-by-example with a “we” mentality and a focus on organizational behavior and culture. Danyel is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development, and earned a BS in Advertising at the University of Minnesota – St. Cloud.
