Stephen Sheer

Stephen Sheer is an Operating Partner at Altamont Capital Partners and a senior finance executive with over 30 years of experience driving EBITDA growth, operational transformation, and scalable infrastructure across consumer and retail platforms. He brings extensive experience operating across public and private equity-backed environments, with a strong track record supporting multiple platform investments and add-on acquisitions.

At Altamont, Stephen works hands-on with portfolio company leadership to drive performance improvement through rigorous KPI management, operational discipline, and data-driven decision-making. His focus includes margin expansion, working capital optimization, and organizational build-out, particularly in situations involving complexity, integration, or accelerated growth. Stephen has played a key role across the full M&A lifecycle, including diligence, transaction execution, post-acquisition integration, and synergy realization.

Stephen currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Hybrid Apparel and Brixton, where he partners closely with management teams and investors to execute value creation strategies, support strategic growth initiatives, and build a best-in-class finance organization. He brings a forward-looking approach to finance transformation, leveraging AI and advanced analytics to modernize reporting, automate workflows, and improve forecasting and inventory planning.

Prior to his current roles, Stephen held CFO and senior finance leadership positions at Anabi Oil Corp, BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Hot Topic, Cracker Barrel, PQ Corporation, and Claire’s. Across these organizations, he has led turnarounds, finance transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and operational improvements, often within sponsor-backed or transaction-driven environments. Stephen began his career in public accounting and holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University at Buffalo. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
